Rupert was surrendered to us (in December 2017) when his owner couldn’t afford to help him with his needed surgery. He had been knocked by a car and we were unable to save his leg. Rupert is a very waggy 6 months old puppy. He is not letting losing a leg get in the way of getting on with life. He is currently recovering in a foster home with William and Phoenix. Here’s what they had to say about him: “Rupert is such a loving and energetic pup when we got him we were told he wouldn’t be able to walk much or climb stairs but we are convinced he hasn’t even realized he’s missing a leg. He beats us up the stairs every time and rolls down the stairs a lot but never fails to immediately pick himself up and smile that goofy smile of his. He has been an inspiration to everyone who meets him… in his mind he is normal and there is nothing that can stop him… he such a happy go lucky dude! And a quick learner at that! He knows his name sit lie down, enter cage, stay, and really great leash and open door manners!!! He’s so joyful he jumps from couch to couch with easy when you get him playing! He’s a big boy and never fails to sleep in bed with us! HUGE SUCK! loves cuddles and absolutely HAS to be touching us to fall asleep 😍 we bought him a wagon to help get him outdoors and to beaches when he is too tired to walk! Such a great dude I really want the best for him and his future!” Could Rupert be the one for you?
